How to set up MMS for iPhone 3G/3GS in Japan (SoftBank)
SoftBank gives you two addresses: 1 email address and the other a MMS email address. It can be confusing, so to clarify that a bit, here are the steps to set up the MMS.
Go to this link with your web browser or iPhone browser.
Your login ID is your phone number.
The password is in one of the first few messages sent from 940001 from SoftBank.
Once you're in there, you can configure the name of the MMS email addres.
Thanks, this helped me figure out mms. Would you happen to know the rates? The web site says free for softbank and a rate for non-softbank, but what about receiving email from email addresses all over the world?
Hi there, glad that it helps you. I'm not too sure about the rates, but I think the non-softbank rate also includes sending to a general email address. In either case, I think the fees should be covered by your all-you-can-use data plan. It's a good question, I'll have to look into that, or just wait for my next bill =)
